Oh my goodness! What a sweet baby boy!! Bennett Weldon Somerville was welcomed into the arms of Mom and Dad on September 13th. He weighed 6lbs and 8 oz. He also made his entrance a little early! I know his mother, Carlie, from working at the hospital. I had the pleasure of getting to know her through the years as she went through her residency program at UAB. Can I just say.. I LOVE her to pieces. I mean how can you not! We definitely had some fun times when she rotated through my unit at the hospital! I also had the privilege of meeting her husband Colt when I did their first child’s newborn session! These two complement each other perfectly! Colt just rolls with it during these sessions!!
Can I just say, big brother Jackson’s newborn session was one for the books!! We definitely had lots of laughs, and he most definitely did NOT want to sleep during the session. He kept us all on our toes! But we were still able to get some beautiful pictures during his session too!
I have loved being able to be a part of family photo sessions for the Somervilles! I also love watching how their little family has grown. Baby Bennett fits in perfectly with this family. It was an honor to go to their beautiful new home and take photos to document these early and rapidly fleeting newborn moments. Lifestyle sessions are more relaxed and you can actually do them anytime during the first 1-2 months after the baby is born. It also doesn’t get better than being in the comfort of your own home! Also, the natural light coming through the windows made the pictures creamy and gorgeous!
Bennett was the perfect angel during his session and literally slept for the entire session except the last ten minutes! He has a little more hair than older brother and Mama says that he is definitely a little night owl compared to his brother! Big brother Jackson was definitely on the move during the lifestyle session, Ha! Lets just say … we may have had to bribe him with fruit snacks and goldfish! Hey.. you gotta do what you gotta do! We may have even hid a few fruit snacks in baby Bennets blanket so that we could get those oh so adorable shots of big brother touching the new baby!!
I can’t wait to watch this sweet family grow! I am so lucky and thankful that I get to be a part of helping you all create these lasting memores!! You guys are seriously rocking this growing family thing!!
